Designed to handle low light environments
This lens is designed for extreme light sensitivity and can handle low-light environments as low as 0.02 lux for color images and 0.004 lux for black and white images. Having the P-iris capability, it addresses the imperfections of an auto-iris lens, and provides improvements in contrast, clarity, resolution, and depth of field. Being IR-corrected, no focus adjustment is required when shifting the camera between day and night mode using the IR-cut filter.
